Ms. Ryan recommends adding family caregivers to existing inclusion programs. Add them to existing employee resource groups or make a new group for them.
She encourages employee assistance programs to add mental health support programs specifically aimed at family caregivers.
Ms. Ryan then recommends what we at Support For Caregivers Network call the Gold Standard of employee family caregiver benefits: structured support groups. “Caregivers surrounded by other caregivers, learning from and with them.”
