Financial Assistance

This benefit refers to actual direct financial assistance such as a subsidy to pay for caregiving. The term can also refer to protection of retirement benefits.

This is one of the more expansive benefit categories because it can also refer to financial planning education.

Of 586 family caregivers surveyed, financial assistance was the number three most desired workplace benefit. Caregivers cited an average out-of-pocket cost of $7,200 per year.
