How We Gather Information
We began this project with a commitment to the idea that unpaid family caregivers need and deserve support. This brought us to a question: how are employers supporting their employers who are also caregivers? In the beginning, we just looked around online, noticing trends.
We used those trends to develop a framework that helped us focus on the appropriate parts of websites – mainly wellness benefits and diversity priorities. This also helped us generate the questions to ask corporate representatives.
Regarding the research on corporate-provided support for employee caregivers, we gathered information from the company’s website, surveys and reviews on other trusted sites and from actual corporate officers willing to speak with us. Where appropriate, we list sources of all information.
Corporate officers are invited to provide us feedback about what is listed on the site.
